Do our cars have these?
Ok lately I have been reading about "black boxes" in cars that record information. Say if you get in a wreck they will know why? I was wondering if the 2G TLs have them. If so what excately do they do in our cars? I kind of think its an invision if privcey if they do. I mean I can see why people would want them but still I think its kind of pushing the privacy gap a little.

Thank God we don't have the BB...us folks that have OnStar may be prone to having someone watching us "location wise". But, there are plenty of GM's broke down, so OnStar doesn't have time to watch what us Acura folk are doin! LOL!

I agree with you about GMs breaking down my moms car has about 23K on it and its leaking something. 
Thank God its a company car and goes back in a year. 
I guess Acura drivers like us are free to do what we want when the cops arent watching.

The Black Box didn't start getting put in TL's until the 3G. I think it was even like 2005 when they started, so we don't have them.

The TLs do have event data recorders, do they not? Just ones that are in recording loops and stop after airbag deployment?
I was under the impression that most late model cars do have this, even back as far as the late 1990s. I recently heard on the news how they had found out the speed of an accident through an EDR in a 1995 Camaro. I was assuming it was built into the ECU and not an outside unit. Would be an interesting question to Acura.
