Post Do 2002 TLs weigh less than the 2001?

After acura's so called 500+ changes, has anyone noticed , felt or knows that the 2002 TL is lighter than 2001? For all you guys who have the TL or TL-S, how's the fuel economy? i know there have been many posts in the past but the gas thing all depends on how you drive the car. How do u guys drive the car? From a dead stop do you really step on the gas and have the RPM at 3000, 4000, 5000...??? Any difference in gas milage if you use sportshift all the time or the automatic all the time??? I wanna know cuz i'm an interested buyer who travels a lot and gas is a big thing. i can just afford the 2002 TL but not the type s and any gas that i can save means a helluva lot in the long run that i may own this car...thanks ppl..oh one more thing..anyone think that Acura should get a bit better fuel economy outta the TLs? i mean the volvo t5 which has their HP in the 240-250 (i forgot what hp exactly) as well as a really heavy body is getting better gas milage... how's a european car geet better gas milage than japanese? beats me...

dunno about the 02 TL, but the 02 TL-S is 3558lbs. I am pretty sure thats heavier than the cl-s, and just really heavy in general... and as far as volvo, its a turbo, so it should get better fuel economy...

and yes, using ss all the time decreases fuel economy because ur generally running higher rpms.
