Just like the title states do the 02-03 mirrors fit the 99-01's? Looks like they should fit, but not sure bout the electric components... anyone know?

 

i cant tell you for sure, but i know that there's a difference somewhere between our models, the newer ones have mirrors that tilt down when ur in reverse, i dont know if that affects the mechanics and parts behind the mirror tho

 

They should fit, There is no difference in the doors. but im unsure of the wiring. I dont think there would be any change in the wiring though.

 

Just the mirrors themselves will fit. I've recently became an expert on everything to do with the side view mirrors except how to snap the new mirror in

The only wires for the mirror is the heated wires, the tilt option for the 02-03 are hooked up to motor moving the glass.

 

so if i wanted auto tilt i just get the new mirrors and it should plug into the old socket?

 

No. thats part of a larger system. You cant add that feature if you dont have 02-03

i wish it was like the 04+ where you can move the switch to left or right mirror... oh well its still nice i can imagine not having it

Well I got em and tried em, the plugs are different, the 02-03 mirror as alot more wires, however I chopped the plug, and soldered it on the 02-03 mirror, it works,this is the passenger side, now to the driver side, 1 wire is differnt colored then the last plug, I hook all wires alike, besides the last one cuz it has no match, anyway tried all the remaing colors and now both mirrors arent working.... Oh well I adjusted them to how I like them, has anyone else tried this mod?

 

what's the difference then if we cant auto tilt it? is there a reason for the mod?
