Unhappy Disaster strikes my TL! =(

...

Something is leaking... probably from my trunk install (click the link in my sig)... you know that little try on the left in your trunk? I was merely vacuuming the trunk when I noticed it was full of water. So I soaked up the water with a towel. And watched it fill again. Soaked. Filled. SHIT!

So I took out the trunk floor and spare to find about 2 inchs in the bottom of my trunk and a bit over on the side where the little tray is.

So I mop it all up and run around to the rear seats... stick my hand between the cushions and I found... a whole damn lake! The foam under the leather is completely soaked.

My rear seats are now in my living room drying and I have a dehumidifier in the car. I have my alarm set to turn on for 8 minutes every 3 hours to try and keep it warm in there.

Everything should turn out ok, once I find the leak, but damn this sucks.

OUch! that sucks Nate. Well, at least you don't gotta go for a repaint, but it's just as bad, but internal. Dammit.

sorry to hear that dude. It's hard to imagine you can mess up the car to make it vulnerable to rain. Damn seattle weather.

Maybe your sunroof is not draining properly. Perhaps one of the drain tubes detached thus allowing water to accumulate inside the car rather than draining to the outside.

Once you get the water out take a cup and pour it into your sunroof gutter. Watch to see if it ends up in the trunk.

Take it to the dealer and see what they say.

Aiye, my poor baby. I hope it doesn't rain tonigh. ::knock on wood:: I had just washed it before I found the flood, maybe it got in from my washing... I dunno. I will find the damn leak tomorrow if I have to get in the trunk and let someone spray the car down. Atleast I found it before it had mildew'ed and ruined my rear seats!

It was the Inspire tails! I don't know wtf I was thinking or how it happened... but somehow one of the tails didn't have a foam gasket on it. I don't know if Tim didn't send it or if I did something to it. I used one off my old tails and it seems to have stopped the leak. My seats still aren't dry yet.

Ouch. Sorry to hear you got your seats all messed up. I hope it wasn't that bad.

Missing gasket? Dayum, things that you find out only when it rains.
