Lightbulb Dirty Black Exhaust Tips

I want my exhaust tips to look new and stay looking shiny.

Is there a wax or something that will enable me to just wipe off the sut or do I have to keep trying the sos pads and scratching it up?

I guess first what's the best thing to use to get them clean again?

After that can I put something on the exhaust tips to keep them clean or protect them? :facelick:

Read up on it on Eagle One's website. I believe a polish is a cleaner by definition.

i am assuming they are made of stainless steel so here is what i did over the weekend. Gave the car a good wash then grabbed some steel polish rubbed it all over the exhaust tips and over for like 2 mins and then left it on for few more cleaned it off with a clean rag then applied Zaino 10 mins later they looked awesome i didnt get the original brand new look out of them but thats maybe they are a little old or maybe its got a dull shiny appearance but they definitely squeaky clean and shiny and no black marks at all.

I use Simple Green. Just spray some in the tips (full strength formula, not dilluted) when you start washing the car. Then by the time you are ready to rinse the car the Simple Green has done its duty and the grime will wipe right off.

Anybody know WHY every single TL gets that black soot around the bottom half of the chrome tips? If the engine is supposed to be ULEV, what gives with the extreme carbon discharge?

I use the Eagle One Nevr -Dull and it works very well. You can get it at Pep Boys.
