Dilemna buy 4 Irotors or Front Rotora?
Thinking of upgrading my brakes.
The feeling I get is that Rotora is a superior product to Irotors, but the latter are cheaper.
Would you buy 4 irotors ($250)
or front only Rotora? ($200)
Thinking of using EBC pads.
I guess this should be a poll :0)
Part two of the question is, has anyone ever had to change their rear rotors? If so, how many miles did they get?

IMHO, I'd go with the better product. Rotora front rotors all the way. And yes, I've changed my rear rotors to Rotora as well. Technically my stock rear rotors were still running fine, and there was no need to change them. But I figured since I was getting Rotora for my fronts, I might as well match them for the rears. I got about 80,000 KM on my rear rotors.

I got the Rotora rotors on both front and back of my '02 TL-S. Got them from Street Beat customer for $302 including shipping.
Agree you probably don't need to do the rear but I wanted slotted on both.
My vote would be the Rotora, IMHO they are a little better quality than the Irotors but either would be better than the OEM.

My rotors are warped right now... so I will need to get some new ones soon. Sounds like rotora is the way to go

I just got a Rotora cross-drilled rotor upgrade on my front and rears. I definitly didn't need it on the rear ,but my front rotors were desperate. Anyways I'd say go with Rotora over iRotor they might be more pricey but you always get what you pay for and when it comes down to your brakes you definitly want to fork out the extra cash to get better quality and performance. As for other rotors for a TL Rotora, Comptech, iRotor, Brembo, Powerslot and I think there are a couple others but that's all I get off of the top of my head.

Rotora has E-Coating to prevent corrosion and increased life. I don't think iRotors has this feature. That's one difference I can think of.

I have iRotors and I love them, either one is going to be an upgrade from stock. I think unless your racing or really heating up the brakes/rotors, both is going do you just fine.

i have heard horror stories about the irotors. i just went with the rotora yesterday. i got all 4 for 322 shipped. and ebc pads for 122 i think. cant wait for them to come in!!

Now that you mentioned it, I have read awhile back that someone complained that their iRotors had warped. I have not yet encountered any such complaints regarding Rotora. For what it's worth, this is similar to Comptech vs other brand headers comparison you get on this forum. You spend a bit more, you get the better quality. The chances of iRotor not working out for you? Slim possibility. Both Rotora and iRotors are viable options. If you can't afford the Rotora, get the iRotors...at least it's better than OEM.

I have Rotora Slotted rotors in the front and Axxis Ultimate Brake Pads with them. The other day when I was driving around 80mph and applied the brake I started to feel a slight vibration. I think it might have been just me because the next day I got up to about 70mph and felt nothing. I just hope that my Rotora's didn't warp.
On another note. The Rotora and Axxis combination provide exception stopping power.

the Axxis which probably caused that vibration, those brakes are sh*t. I have Rotora and EBC pads (also most other Tlers here have EBC because they are excellent since they are not as harsh on the rotor and do run cooler and bite faster than Axxis)
but then again we all have diffrent experiences and luck.

What is wrong with the Axxis I've heard a couple people say that they are shitty? Is it because they produce so much dust? Besides that one drawback there is nothing wrong with the quality of braking in which they give out. I think the Axxis are freaking awesome pads. Yeah I have to clean my wheels a good amount, but I don't mind I'm not lazy and it only take maybe 30 minutes to clean your wheels. The Axxis and Rotora combination is the way to go in my opinion they're meant for each other

ive got close to 20k on my irotors now and they are in great shape. and i beat them, i just cant wait to get rid of the stupid axxis pads in fafor of the green stuff

99TLHeader, either tirerack or PepBoys, all pretty much have it for the same price.
EBC and Hawk pads are pretty good.

'99 TL - 120K miles - around 400-450 miles, mostly highway (80mph+) a week currently.
Stock & OEM pads last me about 40K on the front, and 60-65K on the back.
Last year, at about 95K, the stock rotors were warped, and replaced with "regular" Purolator rotors. Also replaced pads with "super quiet/no dust/ceramic" Purolator pads. Braking distance went WAY UP (like 35%-40% more distance needed for 60-0) and feel went kind of mushy also.
Now considering switching off to Magnum or Brembo cross drilled rotors in the front just to try to get back some of that lost distance, & keep the pads & stock calibers. I'll repost when/if I do w/results.

I think I am going to order a set of the EBC Greenstuff. But I am still contemplating getting the Hawk. Order I could just leave the Axxis and not waste my money.

I have EBC Greenstuff pads and EBC dimpled and sloted rotors on my CRX, they kick arse! As soon as the TL needs brakes, I will be putting the same setup on it. The EBC rotors are a little pricey, but I like how they look, and they work great.

Dunno about the country of origin of the Magnum pads. I will ask and repost if I get a response before I order. I take it the brands from those two particular eastern countries are not of the highest quality?
