don't have a key hole for the trunk.

I been opening the trunk with remote and today for what ever reason I was looking for the key hole and it's not there.

Also does anyone else feel like their trunk sounds like a tin can when shutting? It might be because I have the spoiler but it definitely sounds low quality, nothing like the sound of our solid doors.

No TL from 99 and up have keyholes for the trunk. I'm glad because the car looks cleaner with no keyhole and it avoids busted locks from someone trying to break in.

I don't think my trunk sounds like a tin can. Maybe your license plate is loose or something. My trunk feels nice and solid.

Yup no key hole on purpose. Acura did it so that the lines of the car would not be spoiled bya keyhole, and I for one am glad they didnt put a keyhole on my trunk.

My trunk used to sound like a tin can also. But Ron found a way to make it sound more solid when closing. We were trying to find out a way for my trunk to stop rattling from my new amp and sub. He put foam inside the trunk and it still didn't stop all the noise. So if you look carefully, there are two rubber stopppers on each corner that you can twist. Turn it to the left until it almost comes off but make sure it doesn't fall off. Do it to the other side also. Now close your trunk and it should sound more solid like our doors. Hope this helps.
BTW, I am glad Acura didn't put a keyhole on our trunk.

I have to literally slam! my trunk before it will latch. I didn't have to do that on my 2001 TL-P but my 2002 TL-S requires a determined effort. I'm going to turn my stoppers!
