Read the user manual to learn more stuff. Like how pressing the TCS/VSA button actually turns them off.

LOL! Yep.. first thing i did when i got the '99 was read the manual! I actually really enjoy reading manuals cuz you always learn little things that you would've never known about the item. I definitely suggest people read the manual to their TL!

The Manual is the $hit!

The reverse tilting side mirror feature only works when your side mirror adjustment switch is in the middle, and not pointing to "L" or "R".

Thought mine went bad on me when I went to put my car in reverse and the mirror did not move downward as it was supposed to.

yup but you need to remove your foot from the brake though, because you need to apply the brake to get it into D5.

woops i guess i got this a lil off topic.

i still have yet to find a use for the sliding armrest though

Yes, especially nice to have with the 6-speed.
Just picked up my 2004 SSM TL last week and have noticed the center console is always cold as well. I was just wondering if this was an engineered feature?

I keep noticing the little thing that makes the 2004 TL a great car.

I do not even miss my old 2002 Maxima SE 6-speed or driving my wife's 2004 G35.

Wow what a great car!!!

Center console is cold because there are two tubes running thru them so rear passanger can get some A/C vents.

On Lexus cars the switch must be in the left position for it to work. Middle seems more logical, but whatever, I don't design cars.

I found out that to the left of the steering wheel there is a switch that when turned these two lights in the front of the car light up. I think I am going to call these lights driving ahead lights.... or maybe headlights, since they are at the head of the car, what ya'll think???

Sliding the armrest forward is good for blocking the use of the cupholders.....J/K yeah, I always leave mine all the way back. I don't see any use for pulling it forward.

Thats why it does that.....I was getting really pissed about the mirror not going down. I almost took the darn thing in, but remembered it was just a mirror.

It moves forward so it provides more support for your forearm, especially if you like using the sportshift feature.
I have a habit of keeping my hand on the shifter, even though I drive it in auto most of the time.

The wheels on the TL go round and round and round!

And the window in the roof retracts in case you need to eject. I still have to find that button.
I used to think it was so you can see the fishies when you drive home to your pineapple under the sea.

Sorry, its late and Im tired. I get really goofy.
