Did a little work on my '03 TL-S

So I decided to take advantage of my winter break while i still had it and did some much needed work on my TL-S. I had a headlight out and both my fog's were totally f'ed up.

Before:

The fog light lens on both fogs were cracked and chipped all over.

So I baked the fogs in the oven to loosen the silicone sealant and cracked off the glass lense.

The chrome was hardcore corroded so i sanded down the chrome finish with a dremel.

I cut out a pattern of the lens with some high quality lexan and painted the inside of the lens with a chrome paint. The paint was not rated to any specific temperature, so i decided i should spray it with a clear enamel that was rated to 500 deg. F. Unfortunately the clear enamel really dulled the chrome color.

Thats the final product, put a little too much silicone in one of them and it squeezed out, but it turned out ok in the end.

I also had to replace both the HID headlights and man was it a PITA! The left side HID casing was burried under tons of plastic intake pieces and i had to unscrew and remove the cover to my intake box.

Finall Pictures:

I also changed my intake filter to a K&N Filter, changed my interior cabin filter to a bosch charcoal filter, and seafoamed my cars intake, oil, and fuel systems.

Cliff Notes for the lazy:
-Replaced original fog light lenses with home made lexan lenses
-Replaced HID lights which was a PITA
-Replaced air intake filter with K&N filter
-Sea Foamed the intake, oil, and fuel systems.

Wow. Winter break spent well. what did you change your oem ballast with? I have a headlight that is out too but I don't want to pay 300-400 dollars for one ballast at the dealer...

^by the way, i see you're in some pretty ugly weather, slap on a 3000K HID kit and you'll be seeing right through all that snow and rain! (plus its super easy and you'll love yourself for doin it)

Thanks for the warm welcome.

To answer some of your questions;

-I didn't change the oem ballast, just the bulbs themselves. Ordered them from the sites vendor, Excelerate.

-The seafoam went awesome! I cant believe how much of a difference it made. My car feels so much more responsive, smooth, and even sounds better. What a great product.

-I really would like to do the HID fog lights, but i dunno, for some reason I'm holding back on it. I just bought those bulbs in the fogs right now so ill use them for at least sometime. Maybe over the summer

-Finally, I live near Schaumburg, IL. So, prob not in your area.
