dhl lost my exhaust pipes.

i purchased a used tanabe catback hyper medallion exhaust.

so...DHL delivered the axleback mufflers but they
are telling me that the piping has been lost....

so i have 2 questions.

has anyone ever gotten satisfaction
from an insurance claim against a package carrier.

Also...how would you handle getting
the correct piping for these tanabe's?.

any suggestions..anyone...

Lost my package with Fed-Ex once, since my package was insured for $500.00

Never had to prove anything, got a $500.00 check to replace the missing part (PC parts).

It's not a fun road to go down and you'll probably have to show them what you "may" have had in the package. They'll look around for a few months, before you'll get anything.

I would constantly ask "where's my package". Keep your tracking number and tell them what it was and the replacement cost for a new one.

I got lucky. 1) did you have insurance? 2) do you have a tracking number?

Fed-X dropped packages off at my business and no one EVER signed for them....they faxed me the sign sheet and sure enough the driver just took upon himself to sign my name and leave the packages...they ate the cost of that one. but I needed proof of purchase.

good luck, it takes months for them to settle claims...it will make you so mad, you will swear up and down you will never use their services again.

Had a situation where UPS lost a package and paid the vendor to resend the exact same item. All happened in about a week. So in total my package was a week late... turned out they delivered it to the wrong address. way, not circle LOL so i ended up with two and sold the other.

How did you pay for it? The only way you would have no proof of purchase is if you paid cash.

The piping on the tanabe exhaust is 60mm. Good luck finding here is the US. If you call Tanabe they may be able to tell you where you can get 60mm piping.

Dhl Sucks

I had a Tl-S and recently went to a 328 Bmw and ordered a set of wheels and they "misplaced my wheels and re routed them on the wrong truck. I got them 2 days later and that was on the 7th of OCt. I still have not gotten my call back about service failure, they tell me that they are back logged and that they have too many service failures.... I hope they go out of business. All I wanted is my shipping money back. Call DHL at 1800 225 5345. COMPLAIN LIKE HELL

Hmmm, I haven't had any problems with DHL so far, but then again, I've only used them once, I received my replacement mirror today through them. I'm guessing they're fairly new, since I've only just recently started seeing their trucks and commercials. Some of their commercials state, Bad for them(UPS, FedEx), good for you-maybe not by the sounds of things.

I'm surprised at all these problems with DHL... Usually people tell me jokes like:

If you want to send something to somebody, send it via Post Office.
If you want it to actually arrive, use UPS.
If you actually want it to arrive on time, use FedEx.
If you actually want it to arrive not only on time but also in one piece, use DHL.

FWIW, DHL is actually quite old. My dad is an Import/Export guy, and I remember him using DHL back in the early 80's when I used to visit him at work as a kid, before I even knew what FedEx was. I think they just got lost in the mix, as UPS and FedEx really took off in the 90's...

Do you HAVE the tracker for your pipes? Is it one tracker for the whole shipment a tracker for each box?

this was part of the problem.

1 box had the muffs.
the other had the catback pipe and y pipe.
