It will also be your fault-so your insurance would be paying not theirs-You will end up not being the happy camper. I have my share of brake check drivers but I try not to tailgate so I am able to slow down without problems

thats what safe driving rewards are for.

i pay less then $100 a month for full coverage, even if i got in a wreck and it was my fault. i have 7 years no accidents and 1 ticket that has been since wiped clean. im not afraid of my insurance company b/c i shouldnt have to be.

i know the full consequences of what would happen and to me it is all worth it.

ps. when i hit 25, my insurance will be $49 a month.

Keep it up-I have been driving a lot longer than you. The only accidents I had were when deer ran into my vehicle. They go nuts during mating/hunting season. Deer are covered under comprehesive insurance do rates are not effected.

I have not read all the the pages but looking at page 1 pics- I am really surprised you survived- and the non deployment of front bags may or may not have saved your life~

As many have said, when in doubt- take them out!
whether someone sideswipes you unless you move and take out a barrier while they split unharmed--nope!!- let them hit the car even if I have to move over to claim my full lane
or like this crash- maybe the person ahead was using the brake to disengage their cruise control or maybe they were suddenly slowing for wet conditions or panic in general

Thats why I carry low and non insured drivers insurance- Im getting a replacement car out of the deal somehow

If you were not wearing seatbelts you would have been ejected and killed,
and the structure gave way where it should to absorb some of the impact
Wonder what the black box will say?

glad you are recovering thats all that matters!!
in flying we are taught to sacrafice the airplane to save occupants-
`Its insured!! Put it between 2 trees to shear off the wings and fuel tanks- protect you from fire hazard' were the owner instructions in event of emergency landing

black market here will make fast sales and help towards another ride

It is illegal to intentionally do stuff like that, cops are siting drivers who do stuff like that much more (i know because i have many friends that are with the sheriffs office and one state patrol) I will fight it. Im not worried about my insurance going up. I am however worried about my passengers and incidences like this happening when this shit is uncalled for. And believe me, they will still be the unhappy camper, Not i. I will bite my tongue here and not say what i would do.

damlee05,

I am glad that you survived this terrible accident and hope that you will not suffer any problems from having the spleen removed.

Can you tell me what the "Honda Saber" is in the 10th and 11th frames? I do not recall seeing this name on other Acuras.

^ all 1st gen TSXs are 4-cylinders. I'd rather go turbo than a J-swap, the K-series motor has much more potential than the J.

Think he means airbag covers, i.e. steering wheel. H badge instead of A badge.

Dude ... I'm happy that you are alive to tell this story.

The car can be replaced -- your health ... not so easily.

I'd probably advise you (if you haven't done so already) -- TSX > G35. G35 is a pig on gas and probably crazy high insurance rate. My wife has a TSX ... great car. Interior in the TSX is so much more refined than the G35. TSX is also much better assembled than my G37 (squeak & rattle king). But the TSX gives up about 80hp (at the flywheel) and turns the wrong wheels compared to a G35.

End of the day -- and considering what you went through ... why would you want to stray away from a Honda/Acura?
