detailing

acura dealership is charging $128 for a exterior/interior detail..is that a good price? and will the paint feel and look brand new? thanks..

that sounds like just a little bit above average, but think of it this way, if u dont like the way it comes out after its done, u can argue with the dealer and they will help u out and possibly take the time and do it again, if its some small place the guy might just tell u to get lost, and then what.
It should look and feel pretty smooth if they know what theyre doing.

That is not a bad price for quality work, but dealers are not necessarily quality detailers! Many a swirl mark are introduced by dealers detailing crews, so check them out carefully.

It comes down to two things... who is the detailer, and what products/procedures are they using? A PC in the wrong hands can do permanent damage to your paint, and the damage might not be noticable until after the cover coat is washed away.

Check them out carefully, or find an independent detailer who does this for a living.

You can get burned in a small place too, but if you look around you can find a skill level and concern for quality at least as good as the dealer.
