If its not near any structural beams they use suction cups or if they can get to it easily, they'll go in behind it to push it out.

In severe instances, they actually use a drill and make several holes where they can get in and pry the dent out. Then it has to be wet-sanded and repainted. They usually will take the whole piece to do it.

I remember in highschool a friend of mine "fixed" his dented door with one of those dent pullers. He basically drilled holes (lots of them) into the door and pulled! He put so much bondo in the door afterwards, the door must have weighed twice as much. Owell there's highschool kids for you

Yeah, they use them suction(sp?) cups if its a neatly shaped dent but if its REALLY bad, they make holes in that particular area and pull it out. They have to pull it out with a precise force to make it even....like a brand new car. then they sand it down...bondo it up...and paint it. it should look just like new!

The paintless dent removal, for minor parking lot dings, works great. I had always doubted it until I tried it. Can not tell where they ever were now!

They essentially push the ding out from the inside of the body panel. They have an array of thin metal tools with different ends on them that they get down in there (on doors they slide in between the window and door). Cost is anywhere from $30-$50 per panel (at least here in Florida).

The cost is around $80-$95. Some dealer actually can call those guy for you. In S. California, there is one in Irvine. It does great job.
