Red face Denso spark plugs problem

I took my Denso's IK16 to the dealer to get installed on my '99 TL. He just called me up and told me that the plugs are the "wrong heat range". he said that they are not factory recommended and if i install them elsewhere, it will void my warranty if something happens to the motor.
anybody else taken theirs to the dealer to get installed and had same issue? pls help.. anyone..??

Check out this post. I think that you need the IK20's, but I might be wrong.

Just an anal dealership. Try another or an aftermarket performance shop.

The Denso are 16K+ heat range which higher
than any platium plug around so of course it's not going to be in the same range has the stock NGKs. This is what produces the extra power over a standard platium plug. Your Acura dealership will probably only change your spark plugs if you bought a new set of the stock ones. Try to get installed somewhere else if want them in.
