Post Denso Iridium Spark Plug

Holy cow! Denso Iridium Spark Plug is good! Thx BNut for the info, and Tim @ autocarparts for the fast delivery. I would highly recommend these spark plug to people who has intake or exhaust mod., because the spark plugs are giving some torque back to my car. I have experienced some loss of torque after using AEM intake with a steel filter. Now, I am happy, and I get some torque back! Buy them at www.autocarparts.com!

ok this is a stupid question, but how many plugs are needed for our car? I didn't think that all cars had the same amount of spark plugs. Also, did you hire some shop to do the install? If so, how much did it cost? THanks!

6 spark plugs for 6 cylinders.

Hmm, I think my car has lost power or something. I think I'll give them a try.

A spark plug ignites the fuel-air mixture in the cylinder.

Thumbs up

Yes, these Denso Iridiums are really good! I had them installed and the first thing I noticed what that my sport shift was instantaneous! There used to be this slight delay before the number would change and engage the shifts but it now it changes like a snap instant! There is definitely a bit more torque and horsepower felt also. I highly recommend!

Hey Inspire,

Where did you go to get them installed? Dealer or local shop? Thanks,

You can do it anywhere. They should charge
about 10-20 bucks.

These are seriously recommended for those who have mods, or even without mods. Things I noticed after I installed them in my Accord V6:

- smoother idle
- quicker jump off the line -> more torque -> this one is very noticable!
- actually experiecing less fuel consumption in stop and go heavy traffic now.

You can really change the plugs yourself if you have the correct tools:

- socket extension
- socket with special rubber boot inside that can hold on to the plugs when you pull them out
- torque wrench -> this one is very important
- anti-seize -> this one is very important also, it allows the plugs to be extracted later without seizing inside the cylinder thread.

The torque spec on Accord V6 is 13lb-ft as noted in the owner's manual. For the TL and TL-S guys, please check your owner's manual as well on this. It took me about 30~45 minutes, but that's because I was being very careful. The rear 3 cylinders are really a pain in the ass especially if you have a strut tower bar as well.
