Deeper ROARING engine for FREE

just took off my intake Resonator... damn that thing ROARS at full throttle.. quick question though...

do i need to add anything around the new intake pipe like a cone exhaust?
what are the negatives for ripping the resonator off?

if you still have your stock intake box then it should be fine

would you say the soun dis comparable with a cai...im hapy with the sound of not haivng the res...but if i can do better i'll get a cai

Basically a plastic chamber to slow down incoming air, which also muffles the sound of the intake.

get a cai! it's a world of difference. if you think that it sounds good at wot w/o the resonator, then wait till you get the cai. it sounds like a beast! i love it!!!

http://www.abunchofcars.com/diy_page.../resonator.htm for those of you that need a step-by-step (with pictures) tutorial to remove the intake resonator. Took me about 45 mins-1 hour by following this tutorial. If you guys are wondering, it took me a long time because I was having a hard time getting my front bumper off...give it some strength and it should come off with ease. Hope this helped

also.. do i need that Y plastic piece that's screwed onto the resonator to be on the intake?

i love that "sucking" noise it makes at idle

If you want a deep roar get a Short Ram Intake. I had the resonator off, AEM CAI, AEM SRI. SRI is the loudest by far.
