Debating Transmission Coolers

Hey everyone!

Been a while since I posted, but I know I can always find clearer info on the forums.

So I have a question to ask about Transmission coolers.

I know where I would like to mount it, but not sure which line to tap for the feed/return.

But FIRST I have to decide on one!

I have been looking at the company Hayden and they seem to have a good rep but I cant decide if the ones that look cool will flow properly.

SO.
This design I am seeing seems to be not very expensive but the Radiator itself looks like it has thin vanes and I am not sure i understand fluid dynamics well enough, but I feel like this doesnt look like it would really flow that well.
(
Amazon Amazon
) There are a bunch more cheaper on eBay that seem like they have the same design, so that is why I think its cheaper but wont actually cool the Trans.

The other one seems more conventional (but doesnt look as cool) and is about the same price.
(
Amazon Amazon
)

Both are about $45 on Amazon.

What do you guys think?

And I know they wont necessarily SAVE a trans for sure.
I am just trying to save it for next year to do the CLS-6 swap.
And it is noticeable how much heat affects the trans, once it cools it is just as smooth as the first day I got her so I have good suspension that it is the heat soaking in the trans that is affecting my shifts.
Already did my 3x3 two years ago, and will do one when I add the cooler.

I'm putting a Tru Cool on my Odyssey because they claim to have a cold fluid bypass that improves circulation and performs less cooling when the fluid is cold. The Hayden models are popular too though. If you really want to read a lot about these coolers go to odyclub.com. A cooler is required for towing so they are cooler crazy.

See Skirmich's post on what lines to tap into: https://acurazine.com/forums/second-.../#post14490077

Also consider a magnetic inline transmission filter like the magnefine when you install the cooler.
