Demand that they give you a nice loaner for as long as you are waiting for your transmission.

This is the same situation I was in...it took 23 days...lately people have been getting it done in 2 days...WTF??? Acura is not being straight on their answers...most dealers seem to do it in less than a week. Then there are others that tell the 'back order' story. I wish I could give you more advice. You might call Acura Customer Care and ask them. They told me it was a minimum 3 week wait though, and someone else on here had it done in 1 week during that same time...I think they are all talking out their collective butts.

I have a feeling they'll get your tranny in sooner than that. I read online on this forum that there was a backorder for trannies when I was in need of one myself, and it only took two weeks to get the first one.. then another four days to get the second one. It's not so bad.

'Should' being the operative word. Acura dealerships have no universal service standards. Each operates as a separate entity with separate standards. Some people here actually got another Acura as a loaner while the tranny was being replaced. Some of us got crap. I had to drive a Mercury Sable from Enterprise rent-a-car for 3 weeks. Some people got even worse (Chevy Metro)...

Chevy Metro! LOL - No way I would accept that as a loaner car for 1 month while still making my car payment. They gave me a 2002 RSX that has 5k miles on, its a nice car and will do fine for the time being. Interested enough, the window sticker was in the glove box and the price was listed as "service loaner".

My car is in for a new tranny, and I was told it should be ready by tomorrow. Turned it in previous Monday, so it is less than 2 weeks - provided I don't get a call tomorrow telling me "there is a problem, we need to keep your car for another week..." In a mean time, driving Mercury Sable - what a piece of junk! A little girl in a Civic got the best of me starting from traffic light - had to floor it to start moving! LOL...
