I started using Mobil 1 in my 2000 TL just after the first scheduled oil change at 7500 miles and then at 5000 mile intervals after that.

Today I had the 30,000 mile major service done (35,000 mi.) and I found that the dealer mistakenly went ahead changed my oil & filter for the regular Honda stuff despite my telling them to NOT do the oil change as I requested. (They refunded me)

Will this cause any problems or should I immediately change back to the Mobil I & filter again?

There is no impact. You are fine to wait until your next oil change.

No don't worry about it. Honda OEM oil is actually quite good, high in moly, I wouldn't sweat it. In fact, enjoy your FREE oil change and go back to M1 when your next oil change is due.

Same thing happened to me last time in. I normaly use Redline oil and a Mobil one oil filter, which I provide. I told the service manager , Please do not wash the car, and use the oil that I provided. No problem. An hour goes bye, I check with the service manager, He tells Me that My car is done, but it`s still on the wash rack. Then He relisized his first mistake. So he gives me the oil change for free. I`m on my way back home, I get this call from the dealership, sir we used the wrong oil and filter, so I turn around and head back. I`m sitting in the wating room, the operating manager comes out and walks up to this guy sitting next to me, And starts telling how much they are sorry for all the mix up and hands the guy a stack off 15% off next service cupons. Needless to say He was happy about it. When the service manager cam in and told me my car was ready, and asked if I recived my cuppons, I told him that they gave them to somone else, the look on his face was priceless!
But it happens!
