Dc headers passing smog?
Im about to install dc headers and was wondering if anyone has had trouble passing smog? There carb pending so what does that mean. Also any advice for making the install a little easier? the headers that mount in the rear of the engine look real hard to get to!!!

if the carb is pending, you won't be passing smog , yes it does not change anything really as far as emissions go, but cali wants that carb approval though
and i did not do mine bought them on the car, but anyways there is actually quite a bit of room back there, basically just lay over the motor itself, and should be a little easier to get to the rear

yep-no pass CA smog without carb approval and the paperwork for it
call and ask them when carb approval is expected, it should be in for testing and approval but that can take months or years as they determine the part does not INCREASE smog--thats all it means but is the national standard
If cal likes it everyone says its ok
when approved part, they will attach a tag to the headers for inspectors to see CARB APPROVED and a number
without that--unless you have a buddy...or move out of state
