Headers are the one of the largest gains of any bolt on. And DC are quality headers. So yea, I'd say they're worth it.

^^^ If they are DC Headers from Ebay, how are they junk? Isn't it just the name brand headers that are "quality" but sold on an online auction?

I have 2-bolt DC headers on my 2002 TLS and it has been working great. Being in California, I have passed smog test twice so far without any issue. The headers have been holding up. The gain was noticeable but not sure how much since I have not done any dyno myself.

Did you personally buy DC headers from ebay for $120? I've never seen DC headers go for less than 350 new.

They $120 ebay headers are junk. They have fitment issues.

Ebay headers are a hit and miss deal. Some are good, other crack and have horrible resonance. STAY AWAY FROM DUAL FLEX PIPE HEADERS.

Before you go calling every ones elses headers JUNK, I have seen the DC headers fall apart on more than a few members. I replaced a set on a members that had resonated, had cracks, leaked and could never get the flanges to seal properly.

Resonance is from improper install, which also put stress on it to crack it

You could have bought those same dc headers for like 250.00 on ebay from the auction, its cheaper than buying from the retail. dc headers are NOT dyno proven with all the cars, they are just a decent header for the money...custom headers is the best. They are the same shit as megan/obx/other ebay one...same design

I'll be taking this plunge soon myself, and going with DC for the quality/price-point. I have noticed there are two kinds of DC headers available. One style is the same as other brands of headers, and includes the down pipe. The other style (here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DC-SP...Q5fAccessories ) is obviously very different, and does not come with a down pipe; I assume stock down pipes will work. Does anyone have experience with the second type? They are the same price, but no down pipe, so what gives? Frankly, I don't see how those fit with that strange configuration.

not sure how else i was supposed to install them. i had a lot of trouble getting the upper part to mate up with the downpipe even when i had all bolts loose so there's definitely some stress on the whole system. i think i just got a bad set. the flange itself wasn't even flat where it mates up to the block. oh well they lasted almost 3 years as is but i'd rather go with a brand like dc than obx this time

That's not the actual headers in the pic. All headers for our car look generally the same. This actually has the right picture:

I hate it when they do that. Thanks for the clarification. The ceramic coated headers seem to be more prevalent, but I prefer the stainless. They say they offer both.

I've had the same set of DC Sports headers with the 2-bolt collector flanges in my 2003 TL-S since late 2006 and they've held up as well. There were some leaky gasket issues at first, but I worked with DC Sports and the installer and have no leaks for 3 1/2 years now. DC Sports gave me $100 for all my trouble since I had to go the installer three times to try the different gaskets that they sent me, even though I wasn't charged extra by the installer.

OP i'm surprised you didn't do this during your type s swap, would have been much easier to install while the engine is out.
