Day Time Running Lights

I just bought a '99 TL and found out there is an insurance discount for DT RL. Anyone know of a kit that I can install. Also curious about auto headlights. Maybe the answer is just to leave the low beams on full time and let them turn off automaticcally after removing the key. This seems a waste as the HIDs are on fully and not at a reduced level along with rear lights which can be comfusing to cars following behind. Any help is appreciated.

Yes there are kits out there you can buy to add DRL to any car. You'll add DRL to the highs to save the HIDs. Search for "DRL kits" on yahoo or something.

Also I don't think that you can run HIDs at a reduced level. I wouldn't really want to try and from what I understand it would not work if the voltage is too low.

Dt Rl

I understand the concern re reduced power to the HID bulbs, but you couldn't you tie in the front parking lamps instead of the headlights. Comments?

U can use the reduced voltage to power a relay that gives the HIDs power from the battery.
