i was thinking about getting the dash kit for my '00 and i went online ( Alka Plus ) and saw that they have carbon fiber and brushed aluminum and thought that these would look good if i could cover or get rid of the wood in the center console....ideas, opinions, comments?

 

I wouldn't suggest doing it unless you can cover all the "wood" in the car, which would include all 4 doors.

If I remember right, I think Tim (www.autocarparts.com) carries these too and probably has a better price than you found. Check that out first.
