Alright first, if the CLK decided to waste all of its gas to reach 100 with me, why would he just give up? Secondly, I didn't take the time out to type this properly because I have other engagements. So please excuse the typographical errors. Secondly, the CLK 430 or the GS 400 could never be compared to a Lamborghini Diablos. Finally, if you have noticed, typing has very little to do with the points I was trying to make and if you were beside me in a race you would agree with everything I have stated. Thank you very much for your time. I hope this post has been informative.

I know this message wasn't intended for me, but i'll throw in my 2 cents.

I can understand why the clk gave up at 100. Whenever I race people, I stop accelerating at 85 the most. (Straight Highways maybe a little higher) The reason I pull back isn't cuase i'm a panzy, it is becuase I do NOT want a ticket, especially for going that fast. To me, it just matters who is the furthest ahead when someone pulls back.

As for your other points, I agree.

Just my 2 cents.

Don't let all the :flamer: get to you. You had, in your mind, a race and you had fun doing it. Great. You were on an open stretch of freeway, not really endangering anyone except maybe yourself. No problem. I lost to a Prelude once -- he got the jump, I was stuck behind other cars, it was over in less than 10 seconds. Does that mean his car is faster? No. Was he a better driver? Maybe. Was it fun? Hell yes!

Personally, all stats and stuff aside, my personal experience tells me the TLS is faster than a CLK430. I drove a friend's CLK430 Cab (a little heavier than the coupe so a little slower too). To me, it didn't feel nearly as quick as my TLS. My friend used to sell Acuras and he thought the same thing. Maybe my buttometer needs recalibrating, but that's what I thought. I wanted to race him but he sold it for a new M3 before we got the chance. Needless to say, he blew me away in that. Does that mean his car is faster? YES.
