So it was a time to do my state inspection. I knew it that something will go wrong, but I was more worry about my tinted windows or mufflers then... stupid crack on the fog light. Yes I was rejected for stupid fog light. Since I was getting this done at local Acura dealer they told me that they can replaced this for me for only200$ or take fog lights out for 50$. I said no way I`ll paid 200$ for stupid fog light. Went home and found solution on eBay for 25$ (fog light lens). Good think I decided not to replaced the whole thing!

ya... fogs are expensive... i've seen some GTA tl's drive without any fog lights since they are too expensive to be replaced... another option is to go down to the local junkyard and get urself some fogs....

I didnt know you could fail for a fog light. I mean not all cars have fog lights so how can they fail you for it? Good thing you checked ebay though.

New York is pretty anal too. My little bro failed because the fog light was burnt out! I'm glad to live in Georgia, where all we have is emissions. That can be a pain, but at least something real has to be wrong.

One of mine has a quarter sized jagged hole in it and the other is cracked all to he11. They passed VA state inspection with no problem last time. I'd be p*ssed if they failed me due to fog lights which are pretty much optional equipment. I just haven't gotten around to ordering a lexan lens kit from ebayto fix them. Ridiculous that Acura uses glass lenses on them to begin with considering the almost certaintlythat you will get pegged with rocks etc. at some point.

Just pull the fogs, and get the inspection done. The lenses of ebay will take awhile, plus you gotta take it apart.

Just shows how picky some states are, Texas if ya got an engine and at least 1 headlight most shops will pass ya.....
