Damn it 22k & starting to feel pulsation from brakes.
Ok seen some of the threads concerning bad rotors. Didn't think it was going to happen to me but, i was wrong. Once my brakes heat up & when i have to brake fairley hard I start feelin pulsation, steering wheel shakes in my hand. Ok i know there under warranty. Was thinkin of getting upgraded rotors, will have to pay the differance that the stealer will not cover. What do you guys recommend, I mean have you found a rotor that holds up. What kinda of money are we talkin? Fuckin rotors, this makes my asshole tweek!

I'm sure that if you go in w/ new rotors in your hand they'll put them on and install the new softer OEM pads for free. But they'll be no "credit" since there not going to replace the rotor under warr only resurface them(only under extreme cases w/ a lot of bitchin will they replace rotors under war).

i know it's not going to help anything but i went to my dealer and told him i've got vibration just for them to check the brakes for wear...and he cut the rotors and put all new brakes! i was like shit....just go and tell them. -shawn

I love cars!
Another consideration: my brakes were done about 14 months, 18K ago and my wheel began shaking under braking. Dealer checked out a clunk I had under acceleration, and replaced TWO engine mounts! Oddly enough, 93% of the shaking went away. I also presumed it was my brakes again, but.....I guess the moral is to let the professuinals do the actual diagnosis.

Brake parts are only warrantied up to 12,000 miles, I think. But most dealerships do it as long as you have a reasonable amount of mileage -- like 30k or less, I think?? But that depends on the dealerships.
I had just about 22k when my rotors went bad (well, they were slowly going bad, but at 22k, they were so badly shot that I couldn't brake at highway speeds without getting scared) and Acura of Troy replaced the rotors no questions asked. Of course, they had to fuck up on it, but whatever. That's a different story.
I think at 22k, you should be able to get them resurfaced or replaced. Mine were shot really badly, so they just replaced them. Who said driving hard didn't pay off?

seems like the Rotora rotors and iRotors are the most popular and I haven't really read that there was anyone with any problems with either rotor, only the brake pads. the Axxis give off a lot of dust, trust me, I know. so go with either Rotor and get the EBC Greenstuff.

and how did you warp the rear ones?maybe a puddle after hard use?

Going in to the dealer for the rotor shake problem on oct 9 noticied it a while back, getting worse now. I have 47000 miles on the car will they cover this under warranty. Since it seems to be a design problem any recourse from acura corporate if the dealer does not pay.

Does anyone know it there wheels were torqued or at least tightened evenly where they are serviced. Uneven and over torque, i.e. air wrench, is supposed to be a source of this problem.
