D5 shift indicator light on dash out
6 months ago I changed the OEM bulbs in the instrument cluster with LED wedge bulbs from c0v3rr1d3's post.
All went well until some of the LED wedge bulbs fell out of the socket and into the cluster. I didn't have a DIY to show me how to take apart the cluster so I tried pushing on tabs here and there to separate the white part from the black part from the window.
Finally retrieved the bulbs and reinstalled everything securely. Turned the lights on and the instrument panel lit up nicely, however when shifting into D5 the indicator light on the dash no longer comes on. All of the other lights work fine (P-R-N-_-D4-D3, etc) and when shifting to SS mode - the gear number shows up but D5 is still off.
I did a search but couldn't find anything relevant. I did read postings about a blinking D5 = transmission problems but I had the D5 light off for ~6 months with >10,000 miles and the transmission feels fine.
I didn't see any obvious bulbs in the back that may have burned out and not even sure if it's illuminated by a wedge bulb.
I may have tugged on a wire when trying to separate the cluster and accidentally disconnected something but nothing looked obvious.
If anyone can help me troubleshoot - please advise.
Thanks!!
