I know TL uses D2R type bulb on HID and D2S is for projector type HID, but is there any difference besides that? Is D2S more bluer & purplish?? I am planning to buy either D2R or D2S in 6000K temperature.

People with D2S installed on TL, what kind of modification does it required to fit that in TL housing?

Mr Hyde has D2S bulbs in his TL-S.....if I'm not mistaken. I think there is no modification required...the base of the bulbs are the same.

 

Hey Paul, get the D2S. I believe the light output is a little brighter even though the temp is the same because of that black strip. Plus we have the diffuser on our headlights so go for the D2S, that's what I am getting later on.

 

i would try and get the right bulb thats for our car other wise the beam pattern may not be right because of where the arc from the bulb is set at. also if u go to ebay theres a guy selling 6000k on there for an unbelivable $110 a set + 20 s/h usd. Did i buy em or would i ?........humm i dunno but if its legit and the bulbs are 6000k,,,,,u cant beat that price,,,,im working on tryin to get the guy to give me a quantity price so maybe we can get a group buy goin
