CV joint mishap
CV joint mishap
I was in the process of installing my H&R O.E. Sports on the front left of the car and when i put a slight pressure on the spindle to get the stock strut out, the damned interior CV joint (the part that is closest to the tranny) pops out inside the boot.
This was after installing all the other springs.
So I spent 6+ hours in the freezing cold trying to get the splines in the CV joint back together without removing the boot.
I quit at 6 a.m. and got some sleep. When I woke up, my friend and I tackled the problem and got it straightened out, but now the CV joint makes a constant hum, whirring sound (like the splines aren't aligned).
I know this has to be a defective part from Acura (since there is too much play in the interior joint and too little in the outer), how should I go about getting them to fix it?
