cv axle help
Hey guys, Quick question because i think i am already ok but need to make sure -
Yesterday afternoon I changed out one of my lower control arms ($65 shipped by the way, found it on ebay - Mach5auto was the ebay store.) Butanyway,
i was trying to put the knuckle back onto the new arm when I accidently popped it out of the transmission end, so i couldnt figure out how to take the boot off without destroying it so I just felt around and popped it back in to the splines, i assume, because it lined up nice and tight again and the knuckle went back far enough to fit over the new control arm.
So if the car is driving and making no noise and seems fine, should i assume i did a good job of putting the axle back in correctly? I would think if it was not in there right - the car would not get power at the whell and just drive in a circle or not at all?

not sure, as i did not remove the boot, but it appears it just pulled straight out, so i would say it came out of the trans, but i rotated it around a lttle while pushing it in and i felt what felt like the splines connecting back up and it inserted about an inch or two in.
