Custom wheel question from newbie..

I am considering some 18's for my new TL-S and was curious if a +45MM offset will work? I have been told by some online wheels places that +38MM will work and some say a minimun of +42MM.

I don't want any rubbing problems.

I will NOT be lowering my car if that helps anyone answer my question. I am looking at an 18x7.5 wheel and 225/40/18 tires.

Any help would be appreciated..

If you're not thiking about lowering the car, 42+offset should be fine.. But 38+offset wheel sticks out too much...

Thanks for the reply. I have noticed that very few wheel manufacturers have anything more than +42 MM offsets. I do see several Konig wheels that I like and they all have +45MM offsets as well as an Enkei and Tenzo R.

Anyone had Koni, Enkei or Tenzo R's?

most likely your gonna have to go with japanese rims....european wheel companies mostly make wheels with low offsets...while japanese cars have a higher...

I have 18 *7.5 with +42 offset lowered on comptechs and don't have any rubbing issues, I certainly wouldn't go any lower though
