Does anybody have cup holder pics? My cup holder I believe should have some type of adaptor in it cause no drinks in the world would fit in there....period. Can anybody post pics of that area so I can see? thanks

Did you try to pull it out?

These are the only 2 inserts for the cupholders. the one on the left is USELESS and came in the 99-01, the one on the right is from the 02-03 and works awesome at holding cans and bottles.

This is the cup holder without the insert

sweet man, you're awesome. But no, I do not have those inserts so I pretty much have a useless cupholder! I have to put down the rear arm rest, gotta turn around and place my drinks in there. I wonder how much these are at the dealer cause there are none on ebay

so kris- thats a direct fit drop in- I can use the 02 in my 01 and have something that holds water bottles instead of 1 too small and 1 too big?

What cups do they use to design cars anyway.!!
Why is the mirror put where it blocks my view ahead in turns?
Who caused acid rain!
Was it you who broke the elevator?
Why does my hat say Blame Me on it???

Go to the dealer and there about 5-6 bucks. You just have to clip some tiny pieces that stick out and itll slide right in, you'll see what I mean if you get them.

Very cheap and you just have to cut off two little tabs from them. I used to have some pictures from when I did this mod but I can't find them any more. It's pretty self-explanitory once you get it right in front of you. You just need a Dremel or razor knife or something and it just slides right in from there.

Oh and the best cupholder is the one from the 6 speed. It holds cans and medium drinks from fast food FAR better than the TL cupholder. They sit much further down and have no movement to slide around and spill

My 01 has the flip open doors- will it still clear?

Pretty funny that now we are down to little mods like cupholders
The rides are plenty fast- corner well- and stop
So now what can I do?, reflectex under the trunk lid liner to keep heat off the groceries?!

With the insert posted a few up yes, They are the exact same center consoles (the 99-01 and 02-03) Its just an insert. The doors will close just fine.

Tom, the 02-03 cupholder insert will fit but the CL one requires major modification.

Here's what you have to do...

The CL cupholder assembly

You have to take out the whole TL assembly and make the CL one fit

Before

After

If anyone plans on doing the whole conversion, I'd go ahead and relocate the e-brake while you're at it .
