Thumbs up

Been driving with the Comptech since last summer. No weird noises or reactions to Chicago winter conditions. It's a high quality product that should last as long as the car.

As far as sound - I'm used to it. I say this because last week I took my car for service, and got a '01 TL as a loaner. I couldn't believe it was so quiet. I may put my originals back on for a while until I long for the noise again - which I'm sure I will. It's nice to have the option to switch back and forth - which by the way is an incredibly easy task. Good luck!

It's a real Bit@h to keep them clean in the cold climates! I need to polish them BAD!

Cool

"previous comptech exhaust owner"

I had my exhaust on for 6 months over the winter. The stainless steel stays beautiful, but the installation bolts start to show some deterioration. They came off easy and cleaned up like new (just ask jleeder, who bought mine).

I don't regret having the comptech for a while. But now that I have gone back to OEM, the car still sounds aggressive enough, but no more humming on the highway. The only thing I miss is the sound at idle and startup.

I suggest you keep your OEM system. If you regret the Comptech, you can always sell it for a minor loss like I did.

I really like my comptech exhaust. The sound is not too loud. If I could do it again, I would save my money for the headers. But thats just me.

At first I didn't like that droning rumble sound at low rpm's accelerating. Got used to it. Very quiet at cruising speeds! No regrets!

Yo Nate, you got to show me the exhaust once you get them on. I want to listen to the sweet low tone of your new exhaust. I might be considering them.
