Comptech is GOOD!
Congrats and enjoy!

ps--Over the next two weeks, your car will settle a bit lower and the handling will get a bit better as well!

The car is so fun to drive NOW!!!

Where on your window did you mount your 8500??

this is me "whats the drop?"
I will measure it tonight.

Side note:
There is a highway close to my house that has a long curve in the road. Before the springs were installed the fastest I could hit the curve at was 80+-. Friday night hit the curve at 105 and the car was glued to the road...

Yea, doesnt look too low but covers up that gap pretty nicely. I thought the CT's were alot lower than that?

I have an 11" tint strip on the windshield and I keep it mounted on the driver's side about an inch from the rearview mirror being concealed by the strip...
It does cut down on the range, but h=ll--I still can pick 'em up a mile away so who cares...Instant on isn't ever gonna matter where you have it mounted...
ps--Slap some 18" x 7.5" on there and the handling gets even better!
And for the others, the dealer that installed my springs advised with Comptech, a camber kit was not necessary at all...

Rims are next... (trying to buy a rental property first)

I hard wired my 8500 last night just below the rearview mirror.

I wish that were the recommended price.... I saw the receipt from Comptech on the counter when I picked up the springs.

I paid $300 plus another $175 for the install and a 4-wheel alignment.

-----
The ride is GREAT. I can’t speak for the other members with the CT springs but the ride is slightly firmer thus you will feel a few more bumps in the road.

i gotcha, so that was what ACURA paid for the springs. and so i take it you had your dealership do the install. is this pretty much standard that all dealerships will do such installs??

again, how is the "ride"? is it really more comfortable??

Yeah, mine ran close to $490 installed by the dealer but they did not do an alignment as they said I didn't need it (just like the camber kit)...The dealer advantage is that they will warranty the Comptech parts and work and you won't get any grief from them about anything...
As far as the ride goes, it is tighter, not better...If you are looking for more aggressive looks and better handling with some mild ride compromise, Comptech is the way to go...

Nope. Sorry...
The Comptech is likely the least intrusive spring you can get, and if you are truly in tune to your car, you will notice a difference, I can't lie about that...
If it is any consolation, my mother, my ex, even my girlfriends have no idea the car has been lowered and comment on how nice it is and rides so go figure...

thanks for the info r10apple! i DO like the way it looks though, and i suppose that its not something that is totally irreversable right? if i just hated the way the car felt, i could always get the stock springs put back on ......

True, but with a loss of money. That's the worst part about modding -- not knowing how it's going to feel/perform. The best bet is to find someone with the mod you are looking for and test it. Not always possible though

Yeah steve, come on down for the Florida/Georgia game in October and I'll let you take her for a spin (unless I hit the lotto and she will get retired first)...
<just kidding>
Many dealers are selling the cars with the a/m parts like Comptech on them so you could test ride it there...And you are right, you can always change it back--just don't forget to collect your old springs!
