getting ct exhaust for $600. wat do you guys think? i was originally goin for greddy but requires too much work

 

Well -- so long as you're only getting it for looks and sound ... cuz if you don't know already, there ain't no performance gains ...

 

i wouldn't for 600..i got my ct exhuast used for 300...If no one was selling them used...i wouldv'e went to local exhuast/muffler shop and get 2 magna flow mufflers installed for 250

 

So it's true right .. no noticeable performance gains?

Do you ever get sick of the sound?

 

Very little gains is what people are saying. It could be psychological, but the throttle does seem more responsive after I installed the Comptechs. It sounded a bit loud the first time I took a spin. After a day or so it sounded really nice and deep. Now, I barely hear it if the stereo is on (moderately loud). At times I turn the radio off just to hear the sound

 

No noticeable gains unless u have intake, headers, and exhaust...then you might get some.

First 2 day, i got big ass headache...ordered CT quiet tips...i got use to them before the quiet tips arrive. But occasionnaly, i put them on and off.....if i take long trip on the freeway and u don't want to hear a constant rumble...i put them on...when i want sportier sound i take them off.

 

I can't believe there are no power gains with the CT Exhaust. Are you guys sure, anyone had a dyno done? I'm doing a dyno with every mod I add. How much do the quiet tips run?

 

It depends on who you talk 2. Some people say 8-10 HP and others say 5 HP. People w/ Headers say they only recieved 2-3 more HP (dyno #'s) after install. The only thing I think are the best bang for your buck would be Headers....If you can get a good deal on used CT's 700-800+install or get OBX for around $450- 500 w/ install

I cancelled my ct exhaust order. im lookin into somethin else now... does the car lose power if you widen the exhaust pipe from stock?

 

U may lose low end torque if u widen the exhusast pipe, but u will gain hp in high end.
