Post cruise control downshifting

Have you guys ever used cruise control on the freeway and you come up to a rise in the road and the car has to downshift to get over it? It's not like I'm going 45mph approaching it either, I'm hitting 70 or somewhere around there. I just find it a little odd that while my car is supposed to be chillin at 2500rpm and saving me gas, that it needs to downshift to 4th in order to get over a lil hill.

Efficiency, my friend. You could always lock the tranny into 5th using SS, though, but why?

It's not fun driving with Cruise on. Disengage that and use your manumatics (sports shift)!!
