Cruise Control Doesn't Turn On Now.
I was at Tires Plus getting new shoes put on yesterday and later during the day/evening I realized that the cruise control doesn't turn on anymore. The light doesn't turn on and I wont set a speed. Any Idea if they are related? I am going to call and leave them a message to get back to me Monday, but otherwise I'm not sure why it went out.

It would be difficult- but damage to a speed sensor wire could have occured
Its right there with the brake caliper and all- or the lead wire for it was already corroded and any touching and out it broke it- that happens
They are about 35-45$
look for a loose wire behind the wheel

Mine just started doing this a few weeks ago. The main light lights up cuz I keep it on all the time basically but when I try and "set" it it doesnt work. Then I get in the car later and it works fine. It's kinda hit or miss. Keep trying yours and see if we got the same problem. My wheels haven't been off since I bought the car so it could just be a coincidence.

It would have been hard for them to damage something cruise related doing brakes. If they damaged one of the speed sensors you should have a TCS/VSA light on. Have you checked the fuses?

Check your brake lights. Make sure they are working. Often when the light is on and the cruise doesnt work the brake switch is improperly adjusted or failing. When it doesnt work lift up on the brake pedal with your foot and see if that engages it.

OK, so I was driving home last night and trying to figure out what could have caused this. Then all of a sudden it hit me and I realized that I didn't check the button on the dash... I look, the light is off... The cruise button must have been turned off or accidentally pushed... I pushed it on and off I went with cruise control again. The problems is that I never use that button or think about it, it's just always on.
