Cross threaded plug removal
Cross threaded plug removal
I was putting in new plugs and when I got to the back driver side plug and put in the plug thinking it was all good until I tried to put the coil back on and it just didn't fit right so I tried to remove the plug with no success it's like the socket just doesn't go in far enough to reach the nit part of the plug, what can I do to fix this problem without taking it to a shop is there another way to get to the plug by removing the exhaust manifold. Please help me, thank everyone
Do you have a deep socket for the spark plug? They have rubber rings in them which help retain the plugs so you can get them out. You'll need the deep socket and a 3" extension (or so). I slide them in and spin backward manually using the extension until the thread "clicks" and seats properly, then attach ratchet and tighten.
