I know that in my car the Lumbar support handle rubs against the center console. Dont know whay they would design it this way. Most of the time I dont use the Lumbar support becuase the squeking drives me nuts.

It's your seatbelt buckle. Try spraying some WD-40 around the the area, and it should go away.

i dont think its the seatbelt buckle... the squeeking comes when i hit bumps in the road and seems to be coming from underneath the seat...

I seem to have a similar problem in my AV6......kinda upsets me considering the car only has 4,000 miles on it. Looks like I'm gonna have to go to the dealership and let them fix it (or attempt to)......I hate taking my car to the dealer! Trust no one!

My driver seat squeaking/creaking is a result of the lumbar support handle rubbing my center console. I'm going to take my car in to the dealership to have them fix that creak while they check my water pump. New $30k cars should not squeak. They'll probably put some lubricant on the lumbar support handle that doesn't hurt the leather on the console. That's my guess though.

Your gonna steal the shift knob?:wow: Anyways, my squeeking noise is from the buckle and the reason I know that is whenever I hold on to it, the noise stops and yes, it only happens once in a while when I hit a bump.

I found the seat back plastic cover to make noise. Also I had my seat rails on drivers side changed 2 times because the seat would make noise when my weight shifted. As far as the lumbar support goes, I moved the center console over a tad to get clearence in the up position. It will always touch when down.

I've experienced the creaky driver's seat at times....but I thought it was just b/c I was fat!

Mine also sounds like it's coming from underneath/behind the seat.

I've got it too. I sprayed the seat belt buckle, but still have the creaking. It doesn't do it when I don't have my seat belt on, so now I'm thinking it might be coming from where the seat belt is anchored...

Angry Creaking chair

I am having the same problem, I thought itd was something that I had under the seat, but I looked and didn't find anything.
Now I know for sure it's the freaking car itself, so now I'm totally pissed off!

And one more problem I am experiencing. My car sounds a bit like a motorcycle when in idling. It's not too loud, but it doesn't sound good to me anyway. It doesnt sound good at all.

There has been a tsb out on this for over two years-I don't know why the factory didn't fix the problem faster. When I told the service manager about this they fixed it first try over a year ago. If your passenger seat gets used much it will start the same thing.

Spray a little WD40 where the seat beat connects, rub a little leather cream where the top seat and bottom seat meet.
My passenger seat used make squeeky noises - and it drove me crazy!!! Not anymore...
The other noise that drove me crazy was the middle console
I tightened the screws on the top (the part that flips up)
also put on some felt material to where the top attaches onto the middle console - so that it attaches snug
No more squeeky sounds!!

The passenger seat on my tl-s '03 makes this rattling noise when someone seats on it and I'm doing over 65-70 mph. I guess I'll try to "tackle" it and look for a solution or fix when it becomes "unbearable"...

I just fixed this in my 99 TL. You have to take the panel off the back of the front seat, and spray WD-40 into the metal sleeve where the spring that holds the foam clips to. My creak is gone.

there is a tsb on the squeaky seat. it is the seat belt anchor. bring it in and they will fix it. i believe it needs like a rubber washer. or you can spray a lil dw40 down where it mounts

Recently I noticed the same thing... I dont know the hell it is and I checked under car for the front sway bar and noticed it was loose on one end... one of the bolts holding the bracket. I think it is that. I have to fix it and check it out. Car is 3 months old too.

My creak was different from the seat belt anchor. It was coming from inside the back of the seat, especially when i leaned back. I had to remove the back panel of the seat and do something like this... but not quite because the seat is slightly different in my '99. I had to spray WD-40 into the sleeves that the spring clips into.. wish I would've taken pics.
