Over the last week my radio's been cutting in & out. In the morning when I start my car everything works fine. I let the car warm up for 3-4 minutes and take off. About 30 secs into my drive the radio will just cut out and will not come back on the remainder of my hour drive to and from work each day. The radio's powered up and you can hear dead air and random crackles through the speakers but no sound from radio transmissions. CD's don't work either, but I can hear the headunit scanning them like normal. I figured it wasn't a fuse as I have power, but I checked that anyway and swapped it with a new fuse and that did nothing. I tried fiddling with some wires under the sterring column, but I really don't know where to start. Anyone have any ideas?

a member on the cl side is having a similar problem and ppl said its teh amp, which in teh cl is an external amp, and the tl has one in the radio unit. might need a new radio.

but ive also head of a problem like this with a loose ground, but only head of it on a aftermarket radio
