Crashed my TL this morning

On I-87 (NYS Thruway) going south and swerved to avoid another car which cut me off and ran off the road going about 70-75mph towards a cement pillar holding up an overpass, I recorrected but ended up sliding sideways into a guardrail.

I was fine...this car is just plain bad luck, I cant begin to tell you how bad. This past weekend I got towed, I caught the guy trying to tow it and he lowered the car costing me $45 and then my door got bent when he broke into it. My car also got stolen by my friends, and now crashed. Within 8 months of owning the car, it rattles like crazy, is a ticket magnet, and has dings and dents not from me all over the place. The reason i crashed too was I lost traction where as I think VSA shouldve kicked in, but oh well.

Well then id go after the tow truck place for the damage to the car.

VSA isnt a license to try to drive like Michael Schumacher. Its simply a Aide.

Could've been worse. Glad you escaped any injuries or more serious damages.

Good luck with the repairs.

You have some interesting friends.

Sucks to be in an accident but it could have been a lot worse. At least you are alright.

The acura is the best thing in my life but also bad luck ever since i got it. Ticket magnet! Tranny Trauma! And I almost spent $175 on a door ding but i DIY'd it.(didityourselfedit?) I had a major road rage accident where a redneck in a crappy old F-250 thought i was tailgating and @ a red light he got out & threatened me like a maniac and got back in his car. When the light changed he sped foward with a couple good pumps of the gas then screeech! He pulled the parking brake while going up an incline & stopped on a DIME with no brake lights. ABS was no match & since he had a redneck pickup my healights & radiator got smashed in not to mention the crumple zone action on the fenders & hood but since it was a bit high up, no frame damage. Bottom line over 6G's damage but luckily A witness came back & made a statement in my defense and cuz of the witness even though i rear ended the redneck, I was the victim on the report and the cop was screaming at the guy. The cop shouldve arrested the redneck but his insurance payed for me so i'm not too pissed anymore.

I was at a party, and they took my keys as a joke as just took the car and moved it. I think they were joy riding around in it too for a few, it was alright tho. I was in complete shock when I walked out the front and my car wasnt there. I was about to dial 911 and then they told me where it was. All in good fun, Ill get them back soon . Anyway....im not sure what to do about this car, im looking into getting something with FWD again or AWD but easier on the gas.

You could do what happened to fsttyms1. His friends slid AOL CD's in between his side windows and door. They rattled like hell. That just a minor prank till you can get something better planned.

vsa should only help you not grab your car and put it back on the road before you hit a tree. . advancements can only aide you not save your life. and you only have one of those and there are not warrenties or refunds for those.

yea vsa doesn't make your car awd all a sudden. if you swerved there is nothing that the "car" could have magically done to save you from an accident, esp in shitty conditions.

just be lucky you didn't hit any one when you swerved and you didn't get rear ended or any thing. the thru way is a shitty ass road.

id rather have my life over my car any day of the week.
