i have a 99 tl with a hail line crack on my block good enough to leak oil ay idea what to do and by the way its has 62,000 miles warranty is up the dealer quoted me 3,000 for the block 3,500 labor

Might as well upgrade to the 3.5L block for that much money then supercharge it, run more boost that way.

Tell us how you managed to crack the block!

As BIGDADDY said ... Swap the engine out. Dont let someone talk you into changing the block .... way too much work.. you should be able to locate a used engine in your area?

Just curious? How did you manage to crack your block? Sorry to hear about the engine, but just wondering how you did thats all? I figure it would be pretty hard to crack a block unless you had that much power and was pushing the car that hard.
