Courtesy Lights

Any suggestions on how I can get brighter interior lights? I'm worried about using LED lights, and don't want it to look trashy or anything, should I just purchase new interior light bulbs, or go the LED route for the most brightness light? Pictures would be great if anyone has them! I have a 2002 Acura TL! Thanks!

Nothing is wrong with them, I just didn't know if it would look bad that's all.

Any suggestions on where I can purchase LEDs and what type / size of bulb I need?

why would you purchase a new set of interior bulbs? they're ugly and yellow. go with the LED route.. there's nothing to be scared of. in fact, you'll quickly fall in love with the lighting and brightness. plus they come in all sorts of colors. i prefer white though cause that's for luxury

white gate shift lights, white dome light, white map light, white courtesy light, white trunk light, white license plate light and you're good to go.

btw.. you can check out vleds , superbrightleds, or autolumination for led bulbs

Does anyone know what size I need to purchase for the bulbs on the courtesy lights and the dome light? I looked up online and they say the bulb for the courtesy light is 158 and the other interior bulbs (Trunk, map light, dome light) are 168. But when I look around online, all of the LED's have different sizes. Any help there? I'm feeling much more positive about LED lights now!

ledautomotive.com is a good place to go. They have a TL section. Just stick to white LED's, they'll look good.

all the led lights in the interior are mostly 168. except for the gate shifter light and the dome light, and if i'm correct, the vanity (mirror) lights.

168 158 194 are all the same type of bulbs, just different numbering. they fit.

those sizes are the same, what you need to look out for is the length of the bulbs. sometimes they are too long or short. I don't know the exact sizes, but if you look in the DIY someone posted all the sizes

Don't worry about it. They are all the same bulbs with different watts. The only one that you do have to worry about is the 921 bulb which also has a t10 base but it is a higher wattage and the bulb is bigger so it wouldn't fit. That is our reverse bulb. But you could put a 194 168 158 bulb in the reverse and it will work and fit because the bulb is smaller but the base is the same.

White 169/194 - got some - awesome.
Did doors, and lic plate.
One in the license plate is very nice.
Very classy, look great.

I bought 10 off ebay for 2$ shipped - great quality, great brightness.
4bulb style.
I can post the seller - very good.
comes in a cool bublewrap envelope in ~15 days.

Next up for me is the dome light to be done in white led's...
