Considering buying 2000 TL

Thinking of buying an Acura TL 2000 model. The prices I see in Houston are about $22,500 from an individual for one with about 30,000 miles. Anyone here want to tell me why I should buy one and if this is a good price? I currently have a 97 Acura CL and love it, but it is a standard and the 2 doors is a drawback for my longterm use. Thanks

Teresa

I think 22,500 is a good price. I am selling my 99 with 42,000 miles for 20,200. I think you will be quite pleased with the 00 5 sp transmission side aorbags plus you get 2 more doors than than the Cl. The price in Columbus for a 00 with that amt of mileage would probably be 24,500 at the dealer. Good luck!!!

I think that is a very good price for that 2000 model. You definitely would be satisfied with it, the Acura TL is a great bang-for-the-buck The 5 speed automatic is superb, unless you tune the fuuk out of it. There are more qualified TL owners this forum that can give you more info about this great car.

If I were in your shoes, then I would jump on top of that great deal right now.... You will not be dissapointed.

I just purchased a 2000 TL w/o Navi from an Acura Dealer in St. Louis with 20K miles. All service was done on the car. Car basically looked brand new. Floor mats were in good shape, but they gave me another set anyway. It was certified so I got the good warranty. They were asking 25,900. I traded a 99 GTP with 60K miles on it. They gave me 12,200 for it. It was in good shape except for the windshield. Actual cash for it I am guessing was 10K to 11K, so I paid between 23,900 and 24,900 depending on how you look at it. Used cars are so hard to judge. But with the miles and it being certified, I thought it was fair - not the best, but fair. That mileage is hard to find. With only 2 dealers in St. Louis, you have to pay a little more than in the larger metro areas.

I found a 2002 TL that has 4,800 miles on it at a Lexus dealer and they want $25,500 for it. Seems a man bought it for his daughter who did not like it and wanted a Lexus ES300. I am going to look at it tomorrow night. Sounds like a brand new car. When did the 2003 TL's come out?
