Condensation in the Headlights

So my car has been in storage in a garage for 4 months, and I just got it back on the roads for a month while I'm back from school. But I noticed immediately that there is condensation in my headlights, that wasn't there 4 months ago. So I call acura and get an appointment (it's not under warranty, but maybe a goodwill?) for thursday. That is 3 more days of possibly blowing out my ballast. Do you think I should keep waiting for the appointment, or just man-up and clear my headlights?

btw, will acura charge me just to look at it?
i'm livin' on a college budget these days, and diagnostic fees aren't in my budget

If your car is no longer under warranty, they would not change it for free. I have had the same issue on my 2002 TLS. The driver side headlight fogged up. Since the car was still under warranty, I brought it to the dealer and they changed the whole headlight kit instead of repair them. I should have asked for the old headlight back since it was still good.

quick question, is it normal for condensation to only appear after i've been driving the car/ had the lights on? Because the condensation seems to disappear after the car has been sitting for alittle while. But always returns after a drive.

To be honest with you... I would just clear them. You can seal it and clear them yourself, and make the lights look much better. one word "Hondabond".

It appears to me the condensation is being sipped into the air valve in the back of the headlight housing.

Well acura called me this morning (i dropped the car off last night) and said they'd be willing to split the $630 to put new headlights on as a goodwill offer. But seriously, for $350 i could buy 4 headlights on ebay and have a party, so I declined and will probably be clearing next week sometime time to call my boy in acura service to hook me up with some hondabond for freee

Is it the Hondabond sealed areas, or o-rings around the bulbs themselves?

If it were the o-rings, couldn't someone remove the bulb, replace the o-ring, and while the bulb is out use a hair dryer to dry out the condensation?

Take the headlight assembly out and dry it up!......get a new O-ring and that rear rubber cover that seal's the bulb in and that ought to do it , if not put clear sealant around the seam's! ! and/or drill 3 small holes on the bottom of they assembly to drain moisture also!

are there problem areas that i can seal up without taking the light out? Mine is getting real bad. It fucking looks like a fish tank. Tommorow I am gonna stick a hair dryer through the high beam bulb.

What makes Hondabond superior to any other sealant?

I recently blacked out my headlights and im getting some condensation as well and I never had any before. Which o-rings do i change out. and how serious is the danger of blowing out a ballast. The first day the condensation was pretty bad but it seems to be getting better and better. and kinda off topic, anyone know where i can get the orange reflector, mine deformed while my headlights were in the oven and i actually wanna keep the orange one.
