Thumbs up Comptech Supercharger

Looks like the TL-S will get a supercharger soon...
Here's an email reply I got from CompTech =

Aki,
We will be releasing a kit for the Type S models within the next month.
We will offer a kit for the base models, although it will not smog legal.
You can check back early next month for any new updates regarding this kit.
Thanks.

IMO, it is not worth putting down over $5K (including installation) for only ~60 hp (being optimistic here).

But to whoever gets it...:worship:

I don't think spending 5 k on a supercharger for 60 hp is really worth it. And this will definately put more abuse on the tranny....Just seems like more harm will come out of it then good.

The stock S/C is only set at 5 PSI. If I were to get one I'd most likely boost at leat 10 PSI for racing. The problem is that our trannys aren't designed to handle that much power. So good luck to anyone buying one.

Tell that to the lexus guys who are pushing their family sedans (gs400/430 and even is300) to over 400 hp+.:wow:

Hell, if I had the $$$ and the power was more, I would've install one.:p

Talking

Those who don't want to get = "beat by an AV6... WTF"

Nevertheless, it would be nice to have it under the hood.
I think all TL'rs would want it - if it was a little more affordable...

oh...

If you get 40% off the parts, why don't you buy a bunch of the parts and sell them to us for 10-15% more than what you pay for! That way, you make money, and we save money.
