AMAZING !!!.. the way the Type - S should have come.

Its a bit stiff on Hwys but you'll get used to it ...

If you have the sways as well then the car is so predictable.

I totally disagree...

the ride was NOT amazing for me.. in fact, it was very harsh, and the cabin noise was increased .. i've since sold my CT springs ..

the performance was AMAZING .. and if you want a TypeR TL .. then this is the first mod you should begin w/ because it improved off the line performance, cornering, and lane-changes sooooo dramatically for the better...

However, the ride, is not like stock at all, IMHO. It's bouncy and if you take turns too hard, you'll hit the bump stops on the strut.

Peter,

You sure you got yours installed right. They should not hit the bump stops. This is the first I've heard of of that... Anyone Else ?

I did not find any increase in cabin noise. Same squeeks I've always had.

I agree with TLS RULZ... Love the ride. It was the first mod I did to my car and I love it....

Its similar to stock just a little more bumper but not a huge difference... Now it feels like a Type S....

Does you guys setup look as low as bloo_tls02? His seems to be sitting perfectly, that's the setup I want but w/o the H&R.

I have to agree with Mr & TLS RULZ. The ride was slightly stiffer but nothing drastic. The car handled much better too and the height was great. Out of all the springs I've seen on the TL I like the Comptechs the most. I switched out of them and moved to coilovers though to make the car even lower.

The ride is not much stiffer. You'll notice it the day you put them on but a week later you'll wonder if there is any difference.

but the ride is bouncier because the stock shocks do not dampen them perfectly. Not enough to worry about but that IS noticeable.

However, it does dissappear if you put CT sways on for some reason! Get the sways first, they are 80% of the handling improvement.

I don't like how the back sits up w/ the CT springs!

I love my springs...They made a bigger handling difference than just switching to the 18" wheel/tire combo. I disagree with Peter in that IMuHO, they seemed pretty darn close to stock especially if you've ever driven an A4 or Jetta with a sport package or ever owned a sport compact like an Integra GSR (like my friend), and RSX like my ex-wife or Celica, etc...Granted, those are different cars and maybe the TL-S is supposed to be a psuedo-luxury car, but I prefer the feel with the springs than without. I've only hit the bump-stops once during a 65mph cruise on I-95 in Ft. Lauderdale where the construction seemed the highway terribly. I do not find it "bouncy" at all and really never rub.
That being said, it is indeed stiffer. I have no more road noise or interior noise than before. I did have the sways on the car about a week after the springs, and it did stiffen the h=ll out of the chasis and I did have more interior noise. I sold them only because someone offered to pay for their removal and more than $500 as he had to have them and they were backordered way back when...
There is indeed a slight "rake" but it isn't that bad. On top of all that, I just didn't want the car too low such as other brands and I did not feel like expending all the $$$ for coilovers at this time...

Thanks everyone, I'm going to go with the CT Springs, OEM kit and let Mr. clear my lights. I'll be out of money till February after that for mods. Hopefully by then I can get the sways to complete the package. Thanks again!

Mine feels very similar to stock w/ the help of the Koni Adj. I even threw on the CT sways, so the shocks do make a big difference. I like the drop; slight rake. I'd rather rake forward than backwards. Meaning the wheel gap is less in the rear than the front. Annoys the hell outta me. My 2-cents...

One thing to consider is where you live. PeterUbers lives in Chicago.. the roads suck in Chicago, so the ride is going to be rough w/ springs.

When I lived in Oregon, the ride with mr H&R's was almost identical to stock.. here in Illinois, it's considerably rougher.

I still like having my springs though.

I like my H/R sports. It sits low enough to close the wheel gap. Stock ride isn't harsh either. I don't like CT springs since they don't lower the car enough. 2 cars (1 CLS and 1 TLS) with CT I've seen in person. It looks like there is no drop at all. The good thing about CT is that you don't need camber kit.

you DO need an alignment after EVERY spring/strut job... remember: the car may drive straight, however, it you still need to get an alignment b/c i guarantee it'll be off slightly, and you'll be eating up your tires.

I was not exaggerating my responses, i put a lot of thought into removing my CT springs once i installed them. It was a very difficult weekend for me when I had to take them off.

If you drive in the snow, remember that there is less room in the wheel well, and you may get more snow caught up in the wheel well, so just beware. Other than that, enjoy the perforamnce, it's like a whole new car!

I had my springs installed for $175.00 .. so you're not doing bad w/ $220.00 for BOTH! .. i say it's a great deal .. most people wanted to charge me $250.00 jsut for the springs

best of luck
