I love the sound of the g35, nissan Z. Also the lexus sc models dont sound pretty bad either. Some people on here say that the magnaflow exhaust would give you a similar sound to the G35.

Drifting
i have my resonators removed.. it does somewhat sound like the g35/350z only at low revs (1500-3000rpms). at higher revs especially after vtec, i mostly just hear the engine (because of the intake resonators being removed).
i also drive a Z around, so i would know how the Z sounds inside and out. from the droning inside the cabin, the TL with both exhaust resonators removed and the Z with no mods sounds very similar on highway cruising.
what do you guys think the TL will sound like if i got magnaflow axlebacks?
" " " " " " " " " if i got comptechs axleback?
and this is with all 4 resonators removed.

One on the right for me
never be able to sound like a Z or G...too much stuff going on with that. I have magnaflows on my 04 TL and its sounds better than the comptech for the 3g....took a long time to get a good sound out of it (cutting out mufflers, resonators, replacing resonators, different diameter pipes, etc) but I have a sound thats 'unique' and not in a bad way. Catbacks are nice b/c they are an easy install but the problem is if you arent happy with it....too hard to make a swap and still retain the quality of the system. Do some research into both the systems avaliable and the local muffler shops and what they offer....Stainless Steel and tig welding is a plus for the muffler shops.

the reason why people say the Comptechs "sound like the G35 or similar" is because they are the quietest aftermarket mufflers for our cars...so you dont get the loud ass sound, just a nice subtle exhaust note - that you dont have with the stock system. I would say it is slightly louder and lower than the stock G35...it would be impossible to have the EXACT exhaust note, but the Comptechs seem to be perfect for a nice subtle sound
