-- comparison drive in Toronto (invitation only) --
Everyone,
I was invited by BMW to do an afternoon of comparison driving with their professional drivers in late July. Up by the airport (Pearson) they're gonna have a Merc C320, BMW 330ix, Audi A4 quattro, TL and Volvo S60 T5 available for me to check out. (For the TO people, it's by invitation only and you have to have a special code... they must have taken note of me when I applied for info about their BMW driving school...)
I've already bought the Type-S a month ago but I thought it would be interesting to try each of these (even though I've driven almost each one) back-to-back.
Am I just fooling myself to go? I kinda wonder what they're gonna say when I pull up in a shiny new Type-S?
I'll tell you about my experience when I go. Do you think there will be ANY pressure tactics by BMW to lease/buy their ix model???

Boring!!
Just kidding.. I went to the Mercedes-Benz Powertrip here in Chicago and the Motor Speedway... got to ride in the E55, S55, ML55, and CLK430 at 135mph .. along w/ all the 0-60mph fun. Professional drivers driving, of course. THen we got to drive the entire lineup of Mercedes -- awesome -- we could do WHATEVER we wanted w/ those cars.
The best handling car there, among the non-MB cars.. IS300 (of the ones you could drive,.. the AMG tuned cars would blow IS300 away). The IS is one hell of a car in the handling department.

Can you tell me more about it..... cuz I applied for the BMW driving school as well but cancel it afterwards. I will try to contact the sales person and see if I can go.
I would love to be there...

Go for it! What do you have to lose? Sounds like a blast. I'm sure the people there would love to know more about your Type-S too. Just go fo the fun of it as long as there is no obligation.
