Comment regarding use of Hi-beam/flash

If you want to flash someone, you usually pull the left lever back but not to the clicking point.

What I found out today.... Be careful when you pull it slightly as the lights (HID and HiBeams) may flicker when you don't pull it all the way back, I heard on this board that if you constantly turn on/off HIDs they might get damaged. So just be on a lookout for that. You will also hear a noise when they will flicker (when not the lever is not properly pulled back).

Just thought it would be a good idea to post this.

well to me it's either acura was so dumb that they totally forgot to take the hid out of the picture OR acura knows the hid is not going to be damaged....

coz when you flash, hid and high been turns on. when you keep head light on and turn on alarm, hid on. when your alarm goes off, the hids are on..... so either acura is super dumb or they know what they are doing.

Are both high beams AND low beams HID? Or low/HID and high/Halogen? How much are factory replacement bulbs (HID) vs aftermarket (retail prices)? Thanks.

That's why the OEM alarm does not come with any shock, glass breaking, and proximity sensor, so that the alarm, and therefore HID, will hardly be set off. Since all the alarm trigger points are passive switches, someone is really messing with your car if the alarm sounds.
